Where it goes. How to put it there.
No installer for the DaVinci Resolve plugins or for AVF FilmGrade in Premiere Pro & After Effects — just copy and paste, or one line in Terminal / PowerShell. Your computer asks for its password (Mac) or a Continue click (Windows): that's normal, because the plugins folder is shared by all users.
Where it goes
/Library/OFX/PluginsMacintosh HD › Library › OFX › Plugins — the main Library, not the Library in your home folder.
Way 1 · Copy and paste
How to install 1 - Copy and paste.txt
- Unzip the download.
- In Finder choose File › New Finder Window, then Go › Go to Folder…, paste the path above and press Return.
- Copy the plugin (AVF_FilmGrade.ofx.bundle or the DEMO / FilmLook bundle) and paste it into Plugins.
- Click Authenticate and type your Mac password.
- Open DaVinci Resolve.
Way 2 · Terminal
How to install 2 - Terminal.txt
- Keep the unzipped download in Downloads or on the Desktop.
- Open Terminal (Applications › Utilities).
- Copy the one line from the guide, paste it and press Return.
- Type your Mac password (nothing shows while you type) and press Return.
- Open DaVinci Resolve.
Find it: Color page › Effects › OpenFX › AVP Tools — drag AVF FilmGrade 5.1.6 or AVF FilmLook onto a node. No OFX or Plugins folder? The guide shows how to make them.

- Open a new File Explorer window, paste the path above into the address bar and press Enter.
- Copy the plugin folder (AVF_FilmGrade.ofx.bundle or the DEMO / FilmLook bundle) and paste it into Plugins.
- Click Continue when Windows asks.
- Open DaVinci Resolve.
Way 2 · PowerShell
How to install 2 - PowerShell.txt
- Keep the extracted download in Downloads or on the Desktop.
- Start › type PowerShell › Run as administrator.
- Copy the one line from the guide, paste it and press Enter.
- Open DaVinci Resolve.
Find it: Color page › Effects › OpenFX › AVP Tools. The download also has a GPU check you can run first; if Windows shows a warning for it, click More info › Run anyway.

How to install 1 - Copy and paste.txt · or 2 - Terminal.txt
- Unzip the download.
- In Finder choose Go › Go to Folder…, paste the path above and press Return.
- Copy AVF FilmGrade.plugin (or AVF FilmGrade DEMO.plugin) and paste it into MediaCore.
- Click Authenticate and type your Mac password.
- Open Premiere Pro or After Effects.
AVF FilmLook · Installer
The DEMO comes with an installer
- Unzip the download and double-click the installer.
- If macOS says it can't be opened, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
- Follow the installer and type your Mac password.
- Open Premiere Pro or After Effects.
Find it: Premiere Pro: Effects › Video Effects › AVP Tools — drag onto a clip. After Effects: Effect › AVP Tools.
